Frank Shaw, a long-time Microsoft veteran, has announced his departure from the company after nearly 30 years of service.

Shaw joined Microsoft in 1997 through the Waggener Edstrom agency and later became a full-time employee. During his tenure, he led the company's communications during major events such as the launch of new Windows and Office generations, changes in CEOs, and the shift to cloud technologies.

He also represented Microsoft in significant deals, including the acquisition of LinkedIn for over $26 billion and the completion of the Activision Blizzard acquisition for nearly $70 billion.

In a letter to his colleagues, Shaw explained that he has decided to leave the company to pursue new professional challenges. He was considered one of the most influential specialists in the PR industry, and this year, PRWeek magazine named him the most influential figure in the field.
