Microsoft's Aggressive Copilot Upsell Refuses to Quit

Microsoft's Office apps have been pestered by an unwelcome guest, a persistent banner urging users to upgrade for Copilot, even if they've already paid for Microsoft 365.

This 'Upgrade your plan' notification has been appearing in Word and Excel, and it won't budge, no matter how often you close or restart the app. Users have tried everything from signing out and back in to reinstalling Office, but nothing seems to work.

According to Microsoft's own technicians, this is not a bug, it's an intentional 'feature' designed to upsell users on Copilot. The company has no plans to add a toggle or Registry key to disable the banner, leaving customers frustrated and desperate for a solution.
