Midcap Stocks Hit Fresh Lows Amid Sharp Market Decline
The Indian stock market experienced a sharp decline on Monday, with the Sensex plummeting by 1,124 points to close at 72,771. Amid this sell-off, eight midcap stocks from the BSE 150 Midcap Index hit fresh 52-week lows. This indicates that these stocks have fallen to their lowest price levels in the past year.
Havells India was one of the stocks that hit a new 52-week low, with a price of Rs 1074.3. In the last month, the stock has fallen by about 11%. Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care also hit a new 52-week low, with a price of Rs 6875, down by around 15% in the last month.
Other stocks that hit fresh 52-week lows include Bharti Hexacom, REC, SJVN, ACC, General Insurance Corporation of India, and UPL. These stocks have fallen by between 4% to 15% in the last one or two months.
