Moderna Stock Surges to New High on Cancer Therapy Data
Moderna's stock (MRNA) rose by 12% yesterday and hit a new 52-week high of $176.86, driven by investors' interest in the company's announcement to present detailed data from its phase III INTerpath-001 study on intismeran autogene at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress next month.
The study evaluated the personalized mRNA cancer therapy in combination with Merck's Keytruda in patients with high-risk melanoma. Although top-line results were reported last month, the detailed data to be presented will provide a better understanding of the treatment's effectiveness and durability.
The presentation is scheduled for October 24 in a Presidential Symposium, which highlights cutting-edge clinical research. This development has given investors another reason to focus on Moderna's cancer therapy program, which has emerged as a key driver of the company's recent stock momentum.
