Monstropolis Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2027

Disney's Monstropolis land is set to open in Hollywood Studios sometime in 2027. The new area will be home to a show called 'Welcome to Monstropolis' hosted by Mike and Sulley, featuring a brand-new song by Randy Newman.

The show will take place in the Glob Theater, which was previously occupied by Muppet Vision 3D. According to Vice President Chris Beatty of Walt Disney Imagineering, Sulley has been working on a 'small, homespun show,' while Mike is bringing his 'showman' skills to the table.

The concept art for the show reveals that it will include a live-broadcast element, with screens showing events happening on stage. The stage itself will feature iconic doors that appear to be open to other locations, and a monster band.
