Morris County Sheriff's Office Promotes Andrew Ledet to Sergeant
Andrew Ledet has been promoted to sergeant at the Morris County Sheriff's Office. The promotion follows a career in law enforcement that began with the Morris County Park Police in 2017.
Ledet grew up in Rockaway Township and attended Morris Hills High School, where he played football and lacrosse. He earned recognition for his athletic achievements, including All-Conference honors in lacrosse and All-State recognition in football.
After high school, Ledet went on to play Division I football at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and a minor in physics in 2013.
Before joining law enforcement, Ledet worked as a computer programmer for UnitedHealth Group from 2015 to 2017. He then transitioned to the Morris County Park Police, graduating from the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy in November 2017.
Ledet has completed specialized training and holds certifications as an all-terrain vehicle operator and licensed drone pilot. He is also a member of the Crisis Intervention Team and serves as a field training officer.
