Muse AI Hits 2.8 Million Downloads, But Privacy Concerns Linger
Muse AI, a new agent developed by social media giant Meta Platforms (META), has reached 2.8 million downloads in its first 12 days in the U.S. and Canada, according to Sensor Tower data.
This surge in demand has contributed to META's share price increase of about 20% over the past two weeks. However, not everyone is pleased with the new AI assistant.
IBM Vice Chair Gary Cohn expressed concerns about privacy, stating that he is uncomfortable handing over personal data and information to an AI assistant. This hesitation comes as Muse has recorded a U.S. daily record of 264,000 downloads on September 19, its third straight day above 200,000 downloads.
Investors are now looking for more details about how people are using Muse, with some expecting Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to provide insights at the upcoming Meta Connect event.
