Nadella: Privacy Is A Human Right, Microsoft Complies With EU GDPR
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella emphasized the importance of privacy in his keynote speech at VivaTech 2018 in Paris. He stated that 'privacy is a human right' and announced that Microsoft is implementing the new GDPR guidelines across its regions.
Nadella also shared Microsoft's ethical principles, which were developed by an in-house committee. The company hopes to encourage others to adopt similar values.
Furthermore, Nadella mentioned Microsoft's intention to lead a coalition pushing for what it calls the Geneva Convention of digital rights to protect organizations from cybercrimes.
The company aims to move beyond its monopolistic image by collaborating with others and making technology accessible to all. To this end, Microsoft Azure's tools are now available to every developer across languages and platforms.
