Steve Demardes, a 70-year-old resident of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on September 15, 2026, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Born on January 3, 1956, in Nashville, he spent his working career as a circuit tester for Sperry Flight and later Honeywell in Phoenix, Arizona.

Demardes was known for his many interests, including film photography, particularly scenic landscape photography, and tinkering with computers. He also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, often taking the road less traveled to discover unique locations.

A true history buff, Demardes loved learning about the past and sharing his knowledge with others. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his nephew, Charles V. 'Chip' Currin Jr., and his great-nieces, Kassidy, Addie, Makenna, and Paisley Currin.

A private celebration of Demardes' life will be held at a later date, with arrangements entrusted to Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.
