Nashville Men Caught Shoplifting, Linked to Fentanyl Trafficking

Two Nashville men were arrested after an investigation into shoplifting at Academy Sports in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

The investigation began when officers observed two men entering the store with large empty bags and concealing merchandise.

Police identified one of the men as a 44-year-old Nashville resident who was carrying stolen merchandise worth over $200.

He was also found to be connected to five unsolved thefts from Home Depot stores, according to a Nashville Be on the Lookout bulletin.

The second suspect, a 29-year-old Nashville man, had suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine in his possession.

A search of their vehicle uncovered additional drugs and drug paraphernalia, including fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine.
