Nathan Lee Cowan, Former Security Officer for Coca-Cola and Sears, Passes Away at 52

Nathan Lee Cowan, a 52-year-old former security officer for Coca-Cola and Sears, passed away on July 29, 2026 at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Cowan was born on July 30, 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky to Mary Elizabeth (Fox) Heremaia and the late Charles Nathan Cowan Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Angela L. (Mattingly) Cowan; mother, Mary Elizabeth Heremaia; sisters, Jennifer MacMillan (Gordon) and Tina Cowan; nieces and nephew, Monica (Brad), Nathan, Shania, Alex; and a great niece, Aurora.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Marengo, Indiana. Visitation will take place after 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
