National Airlines Breaks Record with Non-Stop Scotland to Australia Flight

National Airlines has achieved a major milestone in global air cargo operations by completing the longest non-stop Boeing 777 Freighter flight ever operated. The historic mission, which covered 9,849 nautical miles (18,240 kilometers), bridged Scotland and Australia without refueling.

The Florida-based cargo and charter operator deployed a specialized Boeing 777F, registered N795CA, to execute the mammoth flight. Departing from Prestwick Airport (PIK) in Scotland on August 4, 2026, the freighter flew continuously for 19 hours and 23 minutes before touching down safely at Melbourne Airport (MEL).

To achieve this distance, National Airlines coordinated the journey to maximize flight efficiency across multiple airspace jurisdictions. The carrier demonstrated how commercial freight networks can bypass traditional Asian and Middle Eastern refueling hubs during high-priority logistics missions.
