NFL London Games Set to Boost UK Economy as Fans Plan Big Spend
The NFL London Games are set to bring in significant economic benefits for the UK as fans plan to spend £453 per game on average, according to research from American Express. This figure includes ticket costs, travel, accommodation, food and drink, merchandise, and entertainment expenses.
American Express Cardmember data shows that spending across the capital was 10% higher during last year's NFL Games Weekends compared with the previous year, highlighting the positive economic impact of the event.
The NFL London Games have welcomed over 3 million fans to stadiums since 2007 and created more than £2 billion in economic impact. Aaron Burke, Vice President of Global Brand Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing at American Express, said: “The experience for fans extends far beyond what happens on the field.”
