Nike Expands Board to Twelve with LVMH Executive Appointment
Nike (NKE) has expanded its Board of Directors to twelve members, appointing Alexandre Arnault as the newest addition. Effective September 15, 2026, Arnault will serve on Nike's board until his term expires at the company's 2027 annual meeting of shareholders.
Alexandre Arnault brings extensive experience from the global luxury and consumer goods sectors to Nike. Currently serving as Deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits division of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE, he has been a member of the LVMH board of directors since April 2024.
Prior to his role at Moët Hennessy, Arnault held positions as Executive Vice President of Products and Communications at Tiffany & Co. from January 2021 until February 2025, and as Chief Executive Officer of RIMOWA from October 2016 to December 2020.
Nike stated that there are no arrangements or understandings between Arnault and any other person pursuant to which he was selected as a director, and that no family relationships exist between Arnault and any director or executive officer of the company. The company also noted that Arnault is not a party to any transaction in which he has a direct or indirect material interest subject to disclosure.
