Lando Norris's already-frustrating day at the Spanish Grand Prix ended on a sour note in the cooldown room. The McLaren driver had been in contention for the win but was left fuming after being denied victory by an unfortunate virtual safety car. Despite his disappointment, Norris took it out on an F1 official who questioned his choice of beverage - a can of Coca-Cola.

According to the source material, the 26-year-old driver snapped at the official, saying 'I just finished a race - I'm allowed to drink what I would like. Thank you so much.' It's clear that Norris was still seething from his missed opportunity on track and had no patience for petty regulations.

But why was Coca-Cola such a big deal? As it turns out, F1 partner Pepsi has a deal with the sport, making Coke an unwelcome presence in the cooldown room. To add insult to injury, Norris was sipping his Coke in front of a branded backdrop for global champagne partner Moet & Chandon.
