Nvidia and Amazon have expanded their strategic collaboration to deploy an additional 2 million AI GPUs across AWS' global infrastructure by 2028.

The move comes as Nvidia announced market-beating Q2 FY27 results, reflecting robust demand for its AI chips. NVDA stock rose over 7% in pre-market trading, while AMZN remained flat.

AWS will deploy the additional 2 million Nvidia Blackwell Ultra, Rubin, and Rubin Ultra GPUs across its platform in 2027-2028, including AI factories.

The expanded deal will also bring Nvidia Vera CPU-based infrastructure to AWS and build AI factories for the U.S. government, with 100,000 GPUs on AWS supporting federal and national-security workloads.
