Nvidia and Marvell Cash in on Artificial Intelligence Boom
Marvell Technology and Nvidia are two prominent companies in the artificial intelligence sector. The Motley Fool analyzed their revenue trends, which show a significant increase in sales for both companies. Marvell's revenue grew from $1.3 billion to $2.4 billion between Q3 2024 and Q2 2026, while Nvidia's revenue expanded from $30 billion to $81.6 billion during the same period.
Nvidia's dominance in the AI semiconductor chip market is evident, with its far larger total sales and impressive sales acceleration. The company's products play a central role in the AI ecosystem, as seen in the Japanese government partnering with Nvidia to launch the world's first national infrastructure dedicated to AI.
Marvell's lower sales totals indicate that it provides key components for AI solutions, but is not as central to the industry as Nvidia. The company's consistent sales growth, however, indicates growing demand for its products. After being added to the S&P 500 index, Marvell's stock surged in June to a 52-week high of $329.88.
