Nvidia, Broadcom, Micron to Cash In on AI Boom
As we head into the final quarter of 2026, investors are looking to position their portfolios for the opportunities that lie ahead in 2027. One sector that is expected to dominate in the coming year is artificial intelligence (AI), with several factors contributing to its growth.
Two major AI model companies, OpenAI and Anthropic, are set to go public in 2026, potentially adding $2 trillion each to their valuation. This influx of new capital will highlight the need for more computing power, which is where Nvidia comes in as the primary provider of AI computing units.
Nvidia's management team expects the company to grow revenue by 70% next year, although this figure may be conservative given the industry's growth prospects. The big five AI hyper-scalers are expected to spend $1.3 trillion on computing power in 2027, up from $800 billion this year.
Broadcom is another player in the AI space, with its specialized chips being used by several major AI firms, including OpenAI and Anthropic. The company's revenue is expected to grow significantly, more than doubling to $115 billion next year.
Micron, which provides memory chips for Nvidia and Broadcom's computing units, is also poised for growth as the demand for its products continues to rise. The company's production capacity will not be fully online until mid-2027, leaving time for the stock to boom before prices stabilize in 2028.
