NVIDIA Deploys 256-Qubit Quantum Computer at Boston Research Hub

NVIDIA (NVDA) has partnered with IonQ to install their Superion 256 quantum computer at NVIDIA's Boston research center, dubbed the Accelerated Quantum Research Center.

The Superion 256 system will connect directly into NVIDIA's AI infrastructure via NVQLink and be used for research in finance, materials science, and drug discovery.

This move is part of NVIDIA's broader ambition to dominate the AI infrastructure market, with a focus on deepening customer lock-in through full-stack dependency.
