Nvidia Director Sells $410 Million in Stock, But Holdings Remain Intact
Nvidia director Mark Stevens made headlines when he sold $410.84 million of company stock in mid-September, but what does this transaction really mean for investors?
The sale, which took place between August 31 and September 4, represented only a small fraction of Stevens' total Nvidia holdings - just 5.82%.
Stevens still owns nearly 30 million shares valued at $6.91 billion, leaving his financial exposure to the company overwhelmingly intact.
The timing of the sale is certainly attention-grabbing, as Nvidia's stock price has climbed approximately 10% since the chipmaker reported blockbuster financial results in late August.
Nvidia's quarterly sales and profit have both doubled year over year, driven by strong demand for artificial-intelligence processors.
