Nvidia Dominates Long-Term Returns, Trails Others in Short-Term Gains
Nvidia's stock has been one of the top gainers over the past five years, reaching a market capitalization of $1 trillion. While it dominates several top-performing lists over the last 20 years, the stock ranks fifth in five-year returns.
A recent tweet by Charlie Bilello, chief market strategist at Creative Planning, highlighted the top-performing stocks over the past five years. Comfort Systems USA topped the list with a total return of +2,274%, followed closely by Micron Technology and Seagate Technology.
Nvidia ranks fifth in this period, but dominates other multi-year return lists. The semiconductor stock holds the top spot for 10-year total return at +14,468% and 15-year total return at +76,248%. Over the last 20 years, Nvidia's returns have been even more impressive at +63,261%, making it one of the best-performing stocks in this time period.
