Nvidia Launches RTX Spark PC Chips for Laptops and Desktops
Nvidia has announced that Lenovo and Acer will launch Windows PCs powered by its RTX Spark chip in October. The chip maker is pushing AI capability directly into laptops and desktop computers.
The RTX Spark chip pairs a Blackwell graphics processor with a Grace central processor, and Nvidia claims it can deliver roughly one petaflop of AI performance in a thin laptop chassis.
Two chip configurations are planned: a high-end part for desktops and laptops with up to 128GB of unified memory, 20 CPU cores, and 6,144 Blackwell RTX cores; and a laptop-only version limited to 24GB or 32GB of memory, an 18-core CPU, and a 5,120-core GPU.
Nvidia is positioning the RTX Spark platform as a superchip for the era of personal AI agents, targeting developers and creators who want to run demanding models on the machine rather than rent capacity.
