Nvidia has revealed how startups can enter its ecosystem and build corporate venture capital partnerships. In an episode of Build Mode, host Isabelle Johannessen sat down with Sydney Sykes, who leads global venture alliances and partnerships at Nvidia.

Sydney explained that founders can get on Nvidia's radar through programs like Nvidia Inception, which allows startups to access resources such as deep learning AI tools. However, strategic fit matters more than a flashy pitch, according to Sykes.

Corporate venture capital investment differs from traditional venture capital in terms of fundraising, due diligence, and deal terms. Sykes emphasized that founders should shape their capitalization tables like a puzzle, not a popularity contest, so each participant can logically interpret the company's ownership during negotiations with corporate VCs.
