Nvidia Rides Wave as Amazon Churns Amid AI Job Market Splits
The AI job market is seeing significant splits among top companies, with Nvidia experiencing large inflows of talent and Amazon showing high churn rates.
A recent analysis by Blind found that core AI companies such as Nvidia, OpenAI, and Anthropic saw a net inflow advantage, while major big tech firms like Amazon, Google, and Meta showed a 'revolving door' pattern with large-scale outflows and inflows occurring simultaneously. Intel stood out with an opposite pattern of large outflows and small inflows.
The report suggests that as revenue and brand recognition lose ground as criteria for changing jobs, whether a given role falls within an AI growth area is emerging as the new standard. This shift in priorities is evident in companies like Nvidia, which are aggressively hiring talent with AI capabilities to drive growth.
