Nvidia's quarterly earnings report and revenue forecast exceeded analysts' expectations, sending its stock up more than 6% before the opening bell.

The chipmaker reported a 100% year-over-year jump in quarterly revenue, beating analyst projections on both lines. CFO Colette Kress said Nvidia expects 70% revenue growth for the 2028 fiscal year, above analysts' 44% projection, despite supply constraints.

Nvidia's strong results were also driven by a major contract with Amazon Web Services to purchase 2 million of its graphic processors. This move provided reassurance to investors concerned about hyperscaler spending.
