Nvidia has updated its RTX Mega Geometry SDK to version 2.0, which introduces support for continuous level-of-detail clusters.

This feature enables the streaming of ray-tracing geometry into VRAM on demand, allowing it to handle high-density meshes even if they're too big for the system's VRAM budget.

The technology is designed to drop detail instead of dropping out, according to Nvidia. It comes alongside RTX Kit 2026.3 and has been implemented in Gears of War: E-Day, which uses the updated Mega Geometry technology.
