Maria Angelicoussis, the Greek shipping magnate worth $13.5 billion, has made a significant investment in Nvidia Corp. through her family office Nicrone.

Nicorn's strategic allocation to the AI chipmaker is part of a shift away from private markets and towards public equities led by former hedge fund executive Laura Lavers.

The firm has seen its share price more than quadruple since Lavers became head of the family office's UK branch three years ago, making Nvidia one of Nicrone's top listed holdings.
