Nvidia has selected three battery energy storage system (BESS) solutions for its new AI facilities qualification programme. The selected BESS solutions come from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution (LG ES), and Tesla.

LG ES stated that its BESS met the applicable DSX Ready requirements for AC energy storage solutions and can help customers bring power online faster while addressing critical power management challenges of AI facilities, including AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through, and power reliability enhancement.

Hitachi Energy highlighted the importance of flexible energy platforms in supporting power continuity, quality, and operational flexibility as AI factories respond to changing load conditions and grid requirements. The company noted that its qualification includes its power conversion systems (PCS) and power plant controller (PPC), which were enhanced with the acquisition of Eks Energy.

Nvidia emphasized that passing the qualification does not replace site-level engineering or imply site-level stability.
