Nvidia Stock on Track to $400 in Five Years: Can It Keep Going?
Nvidia (NVDA) stock has been on a tear in recent years, driven by its dominance in the artificial intelligence chip market. But can it keep going? The company's CFO, Colette Kress, recently said that customers' forecasts point to Nvidia's growth doubling next year.
The question is whether this growth will continue at such a rapid pace. To reach $400 per share within five years, Nvidia would need to see an 11% annual increase from its current price of around $229.
One factor in Nvidia's favor is its growing earnings. In the fiscal second quarter of 2027, the company earned $2.22 per share on a non-GAAP basis, up 120% year over year and 12% from the previous quarter. Revenue grew 106% year over year to $96.2 billion.
Nvidia's management is guiding for revenue of around $108 billion in the fiscal third quarter, up about 12% over the previous quarter. And for fiscal 2028, they expect revenue to rise about 70%, driven by customer demand.
