NVIDIA Stock Valuation Hits Lowest Level in Over a Decade

NVIDIA's stock has fallen below its lowest valuation level in over a decade, sparking concerns about the company's future growth prospects. The semiconductor giant's price-to-earnings ratio has dropped to around 17 times, half of what it was just last year and far lower than the market's expectations.

Despite consistently exceeding revenue and profit forecasts in recent quarters, NVIDIA's valuation remains a concern for investors. According to Eli Horton, senior portfolio manager at TCW, the company's 'de-bubbling' underscores the market's skepticism about profitability sustainability.

NVIDIA has faced rising costs due to increasing demand for its AI-building solutions, which has led to a downward revision of its gross margin forecast. Jensen Huang acknowledged the pressure and stated that the company is repricing its products to absorb these costs.

As competition heats up in the AI chip market, with major players like Google and Meta developing their own custom chips, NVIDIA's dominance may be threatened. This could lead to a further decline in gross margins and pose significant challenges for investors.
