Nvidia Surpasses Apple to Become World's Largest Company
NVIDIA's transformation from a graphics card manufacturer to a global leader in AI is nothing short of remarkable. The company's market capitalization recently surpassed $5.4 trillion, surpassing Apple and Alphabet.
NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang has been refining the company's strategy for over three decades. He has shifted the focus from selling individual components to building complete systems that combine GPUs, CPUs, networking, memory, and software into infrastructure that produces AI tokens.
The results are staggering, with revenue reaching a record $215.9 billion in fiscal 2026, up 65% year-over-year. Data center sales accounted for $193.7 billion of this total. In the latest quarter, data center revenue reached $89.0 billion, up 117% from the previous year.
NVIDIA's product line has expanded rapidly, with new offerings such as Vera Rubin and Vera CPU leading every category in MLPerf Training 6.0. The company is also working on edge computing solutions like RTX Spark and Cosmos 3.
