Nykredit A S Bets Big on American Express

Nykredit A S purchased 174,573 shares of American Express Company's stock in the second quarter, worth approximately $59 million, according to its most recent 13F filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

This is just one of several institutional investors that have added new stakes in the payment services company. Other notable buyers include MLG Wealth Management DBA Pine Grove Financial Group and Giverny Capital Inc., which acquired a total of $15.7 million worth of shares.

The latest earnings data from American Express, released on July 24th, showed that the company beat analyst expectations with a quarterly EPS of $4.53. However, revenue fell short of forecasts at $14.99 billion, down 10% from last year's second quarter.

American Express has set its FY 2026 guidance at 17.300-17.900 EPS, and sell-side analysts anticipate that the company will post 17.68 earnings per share for the current fiscal year.
