Ocala Residents Speak Out Against Proposed Home Depot Location

Ocala residents are expressing concerns about the proposed location of a new Home Depot in southwest Ocala. Charles Hess, a local resident, wrote to the editor arguing that the area does not need another home improvement store.

Hess claims that the existing Lowe's store is sufficient for the community's needs and that a new Home Depot will only lead to increased traffic congestion. He also points out that the proposed location is near the entrance of the On Top of The World community, which he believes will exacerbate the issue.

Hess notes that while he acknowledges the project may be inevitable, he hopes his concerns are misplaced and that a Home Depot will not bring about the predicted traffic chaos.
