OpenAI's ChatGPT Now Supports Multiple Google Accounts for Seamless Workflows
OpenAI has updated its tools ChatGPT and Codex to support multiple Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts accounts. This change aims to eliminate a common point of friction for users who manage their daily workloads with OpenAI's tools.
The new feature allows subscribers on Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans to link several Google accounts to a single workspace. Prior to this update, OpenAI's Google connectors restricted users to a single account.
Connecting additional accounts is straightforward: users can locate the Plugins or Connectors section in the left sidebar, click the gear icon for each service (Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts), and add multiple profiles through standard Google authorization. The assistant then pulls context across connected profiles without merging them behind the scenes.
OpenAI notes that while the AI can reference multiple inboxes in a conversation, connected accounts remain strictly bound by their original app permissions. This means company administrators can still restrict or block third-party integrations based on internal security policies.
