Oracle's (ORCL) recent Q1 earnings report exceeded expectations, with revenue guidance for 2027 surpassing $90 billion and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) projected to reach $8.1.

Brent Thill, a senior analyst at Jefferies, said there 'wasn't any issue' in Oracle's fiscal Q1 earnings but did not rank the company as one of his top three AI infrastructure picks.

Despite impressive momentum, Thill positioned Oracle in the 'tier 2' group among major cloud infrastructure providers, behind Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN), and Alphabet (GOOGL).

The tier-1 giants benefit from stronger balance sheets, superior core business multiples, and deeper market penetration, allowing them to fund ongoing infrastructure builds without spooking debt markets.
