OVHcloud Unveils OVHai Workspace: A Sovereign Alternative to Microsoft 365

OVHcloud is set to launch its sovereign workspace, OVHai Workspace, in beta on November 19, 2026, as an alternative to Microsoft 365. The platform will offer a range of tools including email, cloud storage, video meetings, AI agents, search, and optional end-to-end encryption.

According to Octave Klaba, the CEO of OVHcloud, the workspace is 'on the way' and will be launched as an alternative to Microsoft 365. It remains unclear whether OVHai Workspace will include word processing and spreadsheet tools like those found in Microsoft 365's office suite.

The European market is becoming crowded with local contenders offering a narrower range of features, but OVHai Workspace aims to bring together a unified experience for productivity and collaboration applications from European countries. When encryption is enabled, search and agentic AI features will run directly on the user's computer or mobile device, allowing sensitive data to be processed locally.
