P&G Expands Mexico Plant Investment to $140 Million
Procter & Gamble (P&G), a global consumer goods company, is expanding its drug production capacity in Naucalpan, Mexico. The $140 million investment will strengthen the production of medications and healthcare products for American markets and other regions.
The 'Agave' project, which accounts for $100 million of the total investment, involves constructing a new building to increase production capacity for Sedalmerck and Dolo-Neurobion medications. Additionally, a laboratory will be installed to conduct analytical tests on the products.
Automation processes will be incorporated into the plants, potentially creating new jobs in addition to the 900 already provided by P&G in Naucalpan. According to Miguel Valdovinos, director of the Naucalpan Plant, this investment will boost the facility's competitiveness and production capacity while expanding its reach into international markets.
The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
