Pentagon Bolsters Munitions Production Amid Ongoing Military Operations
The Pentagon has announced framework agreements with defense firms BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell to boost production of defense systems munitions.
This move comes as part of a push to put the U.S. military on a 'wartime footing' following recent military operations in Iran and other areas.
The agreements will see Honeywell Aerospace surge production of critical components for America's munitions stockpile with a $500 million multi-year investment.
BAE Systems and Lockheed Martin will quadruple production of seekers for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptor, while Lockheed will also accelerate production of its Precision Strike Missile.
