Pixar Plaza Left Behind as Disney's Hollywood Studios Evolves

Disney's Hollywood Studios has undergone significant transformations in recent years, shedding its legacy as a working movie studio and rebranding itself as an immersive powerhouse anchored by Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land.

However, amidst these changes, the park still struggles with 'ghost zones' that stick out like a sore thumb. One such area is Pixar Plaza, now officially referred to as Pixar Place, which remains a relatively quiet dead-end corridor despite being steps away from two of the park's biggest crowd-drawers.

The area's location presents a physical layout challenge for Disney, making it difficult to expand without significant redevelopment. Its narrow and linear configuration terminates near the end of the block, limiting natural circulation and functioning as a major destination.
