Pixel Apps Get Fresh New Looks with Latest Design Updates

Google has updated the icons for several Pixel apps to better match its latest design language. The changes apply to the Pixel Camera, Calculator, Clock, Recorder, and Weather apps on the new Pixel 11 devices.

The most notable update is to the Pixel Camera icon, which features a rectangular body with corner flash and a centered viewfinder. The color palette has also been updated to a gradient that reflects the app's use of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). This redesign coincides with an in-app update to the viewfinder.

The other apps have received more subtle changes, including the addition of red waveform to the Recorder icon and a change from a blue background to a plain one for the Weather app. The Calculator icon now features green symbols, while the Clock app has been redesigned to resemble a watch face.
