Plaintiffs Push for Final Approval of $56M Google Flo Health Settlement
Plaintiffs in a U.S. privacy lawsuit have filed a reply supporting final approval of a $56 million settlement with Google and Flo Health. The case centers on allegations that Flo Health illegally shared users' reproductive health data.
The plaintiffs argued that due process does not justify Meta Platforms' opposition to the settlement, which aims to resolve privacy allegations against the companies. They emphasized that the $56 million settlement is necessary to compensate the 222,115 class members.
The plaintiffs also countered Meta's claims, stating that the amount Meta owes the class members is a clear $1.110 billion. The case is awaiting a U.S. federal judge's final approval.
