Walt Disney World has permanently retired Play Disney Parks, an app that allowed guests to interact with its theme parks. The shutdown took effect on September 16, 2026, and marks the end of an eight-year run.

The app was designed to make the parks more immersive by offering games, trivia, digital achievements, and interactive activities. It also supported DuckTales World Showcase Adventure and multiple experiences associated with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

One of those features, Star Wars: Datapad, has also been retired along with the app. However, guests can still access Batuu Bounty Hunters using MagicBand+ and physical screens throughout the land.
