Poughkeepsie Residents Arrested in Southeast After Bizarre Incident

Two Poughkeepsie residents were arrested on September 15th in connection with an investigation at a Home Depot parking lot.

Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Conditions Unit observed Dennis M. Bussanich, 45, loading stolen merchandise into a vehicle on Independent Way.

The deputies made contact with Karleen Carter, 37, who was driving the vehicle, and found drug paraphernalia inside.

During an investigation, authorities recovered fentanyl, crack cocaine, and Suboxone.
