Power Platform Gets Major Updates with Data Grid Control and More

Microsoft's Power Platform has received several updates in its July/August 2026 feature update. One of the key additions is the data grid modern control, which is now generally available for canvas apps. This new control offers a high-performance, data-dense view of tabular data with built-in search experience and fluent UI.

The data grid modern control includes features such as sortable columns, single and multi-row selection, column resizing, and rich column types like text, number, phone, email, hyperlink, and button columns. It also comes with built-in accessibility (keyboard navigation and screen-reader support) and consistent theming that stays in line with the rest of your app.

In addition to the data grid modern control, the Power Platform has also updated several other features. The modern toggle and checkbox controls have received improvements, including consistent properties, tooltips, and a read-only view mode. The modern form control has been enhanced with improved data cards, binding, formula, and reset fixes.
