Progress Software Expands Agentic RAG Platform with Microsoft Teams App and Smart Agent

Progress Software has expanded its Agentic RAG platform to include new features that allow users to integrate AI into Microsoft Teams and improve content retrieval capabilities. The company's Progress Agentic RAG is an agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) platform for AI agents and LLMs that connects enterprise knowledge to AI-powered experiences through a shared Agentic Knowledge Layer.

The latest release includes a native application for Microsoft Teams, which enables seamless integration of AI experiences into daily operations. A Smart Agent has also been introduced, capable of complex multistep retrieval, allowing organizations to tackle complex queries across systems and reduce the need for custom orchestration.

In addition, Progress Software has developed a WordPress plugin that enhances content ingestion processes, ensuring that AI experiences remain aligned with current content while preserving governance and metadata. Existing customers can access these new features without needing reindexing or architectural changes, allowing them to continue using their current indexed content and access controls.
