Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio acquired a new position in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) in the second quarter, according to its most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The firm bought 3,817,521 shares of the e-commerce giant's stock, valued at approximately $909,868,000.

Amazon accounts for 2.7% of Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio's holdings, making it its fifth biggest position.

Other institutional investors also modified their holdings in Amazon.com during the second quarter, including Bank of America Corp DE, which purchased a new position valued at $22,218,775,000.
