Quarterly Credit Deadline Looms: Don't Forget Your American Express Benefits

As September 30 approaches, cardholders with American Express benefits may see some of their credits expire. The end of the month marks the deadline for several quarterly statement credits to reset.

The American Express Platinum Card offers up to $100 in statement credits each quarter for eligible Resy purchases at U.S. restaurants and up to $75 for lululemon purchases at U.S. retail stores and their website. Enrollment is required for both benefits.

The Business Platinum Card from American Express also offers quarterly statement credits, including up to $50 for Hilton purchases made directly with properties in the Hilton portfolio and up to $90 for Indeed purchases made directly with the platform.

Hilton Honors cardholders should also check their benefits, as the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card and Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card both offer quarterly statement credits of up to $50 for eligible airfare purchases and direct property purchases, respectively.

It's essential to note that these benefits are only useful when they reward purchases already planned. Using a card solely to spend money on an item because the credit is available can be counterproductive.
