Quartz Partners Takes $617K Stake in Amazon Shares Amid E-Commerce Growth

According to its latest 13F filing with the SEC, Quartz Partners LLC has purchased a new stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) shares worth approximately $617,000. This purchase consists of 2,587 shares acquired by the fund in the second quarter.

The company joins other institutional investors who have also bought and sold AMZN shares in recent quarters. Auto Owners Insurance Co significantly increased its position in Amazon.com by 27,376.7% during the fourth quarter, owning a total of 98,448,885 shares valued at $2,272,397,000.

A number of other hedge funds have also made significant investments in AMZN, including Bank of New York Mellon Corp and Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management Co. Ltd., which acquired new positions in the company during the second quarter.
