QuickLink Expands Remote Contribution Capabilities

QuickLink has unveiled significant updates to its StudioEdge remote contribution platform. The new features include support for WhatsApp and Cisco Webex, in addition to enhanced integration with Microsoft Teams.

StudioEdge already supported Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and StudioCall, but the inclusion of these two communication platforms expands its capabilities. This allows production teams to bring in participants from the platforms they use daily, reducing barriers for contributors and streamlining remote workflows across broadcast, media, and enterprise environments.

The latest enhancements to Microsoft Teams include support for multiple callers from a single meeting, notifications when guests join, active speaker and screen sharing support, and compatibility with Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) environments. QuickLink's CEO, Richard Rees, stated that 'remote contribution is now a fundamental part of modern production, and flexibility is key to making it work.'

At IBC 2026, QuickLink will showcase these expanded capabilities and demonstrate how StudioEdge continues to evolve as a flexible, scalable, and reliable remote guest ecosystem. The new integrations allow organisations to adapt to changing workflow demands and maintain broadcast-quality connectivity from anywhere in the world.
