Russia Targets US-Owned Enterprises in Ukraine with Drone Strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that a Russian drone struck a Coca-Cola plant in Velyka Dymerka, Kyiv region, sparking a fire. The attack raises questions about Moscow's targets in Ukraine and the involvement of American companies.

Zelenskyy stated that 'Coca-Cola has apparently become such an enemy to them that they are burning it with their Shaheds.' This is a clear signal from Russia to America, as Coca-Cola is an American-owned enterprise. However, the company has yet to publicly respond to the attack.

This is not the first time Russian forces have targeted facilities belonging to American companies in Ukraine. In August, Russian drones hit a plant operated by Mondelēz International in Trostianets, Sumy region, and in February, another facility was damaged. Additionally, in August 2025, Russian Kalibr missiles struck a civilian facility in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, which belonged to American company Flex.
